I decided to share with you my creative process of creating an original piece of art. First I start with a sketch in my sketch pad. After I have determined what image I will use I prime my canvas. I use gel medium to texturize the canvas. I usually prime several at a time. Then after they are dry I paint a base coat of brown acrylic Liquitex paint. I used to use red or purple for my base coat but lately brown is my favorite, which also adds as an outline for my image.

1000 Markets
Happy New Year!I am very excited to have a second shop on a new site called 1000 Markets. The venue is an exciting high quality site of fine art and crafts. The site is not as crowded as the Etsy sight so it is thrilling to be on the early stages of this new one. Come check out my shop and check back for updates regularly. Looking forward to a succesful 2009!
