Suwanee Arts in the Park

 

 

This weekend was our community held the 3rd annual Arts in the Park Festival. The organizers are the North Gwinnett Arts Association and the city of Suwanee.

 

 

 

 

This booth is the beautiful work of Vicky Johnson. She is also the founder and president of the North Gwinnett Arts Association. She and her husband Chris have worked tirelessly to bring art and culture to our little city. 

 

 

 

 

 

Some of the booths were so well decorated. I felt I was stepping into a real store. 

 

 

 

 

There was music all throughout the day.

 

 

 

 

Our city hall has a part of the Berlin wall on display. The wall will be auctioned off soon to the highest bidder.

Even though it seemed like it was going to rain, thankfully it held off most of the day. I so look forward to attend next years festival!

Happy Birthday Jordan!

I can't believe that nine years ago today that my sweet little Jordan was born. I was so nervous at the thought of taking care of three children. How was I going to manage. Thankfully the Lord helped me through all the busyness of taking care of three kids six and under.

As soon as I saw you I cried tears of joy just to see you were a healthy and precious little baby.

Even from birth Jordan always seems to be thinking very deep philosophical thoughts.

Happy Birthday my little precious! 

A Little Bird Told Me

This week I added just a few more finishing touches to my newest painting. It was so much fun creating these little cast of characters. I can only imagine what kind of conversations they may be talking about. Talks about family, vacations, and the latest worm finds. Lol! No, I am not crazy.

Tick Tock a Sailing Clock

As you can tell from my shop I love birds, nature and well, girly subject matter. I decided to break a little from what I really like to create to a product more suited for guys. After all I do have two boys in the house. A sailboat has been floating around in my mind for some time now. So, I decided to finally make a clock that would be great for a boy's room, or guys office or bedroom. This clock will be available in my shop later today.

New Painting

I am almost complete with my new painting. I actually was working on another painting at the same time.  I will show you that one later. This allows me to maximize my time and not waist any paint.

I searched thru many images of birds on the internet. I loved the contrast in color of this bird. I'm not sure the name of this kind of bird. I believe the bird is called a bullfinch. I'm not sure what I will title this image.

New mini prints

 

I had been busy working on a few new prints just before spring break. These prints are mounted onto canvas and sealed with varnish. They are a part of my new inspirational art.

 

 

 

 

These mini prints would make a great accent to any room or office. They will available in my shop within the next few days.

Since the kids have their spring break so late this year till the end of the school year, we decided to have a staycation.  Needless to say computer time is limited. So, I decided to search around Etsy to find some great picks. I chose the color mint green for my search.
