It has been a while since I have had a giveaway. I decided to give a little patriotic art block since July 4th is next week. Just leave a comment about what is your favorite thing about the coming holiday celebration. The winner will be announced July 3rd.

Summer picnics over the holiday and spending time with family is great.
awwwww! I love your patriotic print! :) Hmmmm favorite thing about the holiday celebrations. wow, you know, I am a HUGE supporter of our United States military. During my past 6 years of teaching Kindergarten I had my students write letters to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Through the years I developed friendships with each of these members of the armed forces. It gave me a whole new perspective on what freedom truly is and made me realize how much we take these freedoms for granted. Every July 4th (sometimes the day before) since 9-11 I take a plate of cookies or cupcakes over to the local Veterans of Foriegn Wars building just to tell them thank you for their service:)
Hmmmm.....gotta be the fireworks as long as they are spectacular!
I just love my country! We are so blessed and after serving 6 years in the Navy I have really come to love our men and women who serve our country! Hotdogs, smores, homemade icecream, fireworks, and the list goes on! God bless America:)Happy 4th to all!
My favorite thing about the Fourth of July can be summarized in the phrase, "Freedom is not free." I battle being free from fear and understanding what it means, "Perfect love casts out fear." I love fireworks and watching a movie about those who have have given their lives for the freedom I enjoy.
Mechelle - I love your patriotic bird!
We are blessed to be living here in America. I only pray that we can bring God back into the schools and government - although He really is still there! :o)

Hello
mechelle designs
This is great! Very interesting details you have observed , Thanks for the info
Cute card. The 4th is a day to celebrate our country and all that is good about it. I don't really care that much about fireworks, but I'm a sparkler girl :)
July 4th always prompts a heavy spirit of thanksgiving for this nation
What an adorable patriot bird! My favorite thing about the coming holiday is definitely spending time with family and being thankful for living in a wonderful country with them.
I found your blog from the blogging buddies team on etsy! Thanks for including me in your give away, I'm not a follower of your blog!
Well besides for the obvious patriot meaning of July 4th, I remember it because it's the day that my hubby first told me he loved me, over 30 years ago :)
Thinking about all we've learned about our Independance, I'd have to say being thankful for all those back then...oh and of couse getting together with family and friends to celebrate!!!
