Butterfly Clock

I have been thinking about making a butterfly clock for sometime now, so I finally decided to paint this beautiful creature. The monarch butterfly is such a delight to behold. The brilliant colors remind me of the candy corn and the fall season. There wings are so intricate like a pieces of a puzzle. It reminds me how the Lord puts all of these unique pieces together to work in harmony like the church body. We all have different rolls, but if we all work together we can truly soar.

Beautiful clock. As I looked at is I kept trying to figure out what else I was seeing as I looked at the shapes of the butterfly wings. Then I realized I saw two musical instruments: cellos at the bottom and harps at the top - which gives it added appeal to me.

Having just read Luella's post about Yellowstone and then your butterfly clock, inspired by the monarch - I too am in awe of the awesome creativity of the Lord.
