A Little Bird Told Me

This week I added just a few more finishing touches to my newest painting. It was so much fun creating these little cast of characters. I can only imagine what kind of conversations they may be talking about. Talks about family, vacations, and the latest worm finds. Lol! No, I am not crazy.

Tick Tock a Sailing Clock

As you can tell from my shop I love birds, nature and well, girly subject matter. I decided to break a little from what I really like to create to a product more suited for guys. After all I do have two boys in the house. A sailboat has been floating around in my mind for some time now. So, I decided to finally make a clock that would be great for a boy's room, or guys office or bedroom. This clock will be available in my shop later today.

New Painting

I am almost complete with my new painting. I actually was working on another painting at the same time.  I will show you that one later. This allows me to maximize my time and not waist any paint.

I searched thru many images of birds on the internet. I loved the contrast in color of this bird. I'm not sure the name of this kind of bird. I believe the bird is called a bullfinch. I'm not sure what I will title this image.

New mini prints

 

I had been busy working on a few new prints just before spring break. These prints are mounted onto canvas and sealed with varnish. They are a part of my new inspirational art.

 

 

 

 

These mini prints would make a great accent to any room or office. They will available in my shop within the next few days.

Since the kids have their spring break so late this year till the end of the school year, we decided to have a staycation.  Needless to say computer time is limited. So, I decided to search around Etsy to find some great picks. I chose the color mint green for my search.

Easter Memories

 

I can not tell you how many shots it takes to get the whole family together to take a holiday picture. Well, after church we started the task of corralling these three for a picture.

Let me tell you this is no easy task. Usually, one will get the sillies, then the others will join in on the fun. As we the parents get more frustrated as time goes by. If only you could have seen how Bethany, then Michel decided they could set the timer on the camera, when they actually just took a candid shot.

So, finally we all get on the same page and get that perfect picture. I can not tell you how it helps in times like these to have perspective. These little moments of craziness are just a treasure of memories to share in the future with the family. Time has gone by so fast. Even though at times it seems like an eternity. Where have my little babies gone? They are growing up so fast.

 

 

I hadn't made an orange flavored cake in so long. I decided it was time to try something different.

 

 

 

 

 

It is my hope that you also had wonderful memories to treasure for years to come as well. Also remember how our risen Lord rose victoriously that day. That my friends is a great memory to treasure and honor each and everyday.

Art, Hail and Snowflakes

 As I am writing this post it is absolutely freezing outside. We even have seen snow flurries throughout the day. My local weatherman stated that nearly half of the country has snow. What happened to the spring!

Since I have been staying inside I have had a chance to work on some new products. I just completed this clock and will put it in my shop within the day.

 

 

I also wanted to show you the hail we got last week. It was the strangest storm. It was a little rainy, but all of a sudden it got so dark outside. We immediately turned on the t.v. My kids and I were shocked to see that we were under tornado watches and warnings. My daughter even heard the emergency sirens go off. We were about to go to the basement, but the sirens were turned off. Thankfully we missed the worst.
