My Basement/Studio Space

Almost two years ago we had our basement finished. After that it seems like I could not decide what direction to go, or what color scheme, or them I wanted to have. So, for months I am ashamed to say I did not do anything, or just worked on it sometimes. I finally went through so many old things I needed to get rid of, with plans to get rid of so much more in the future.

I have been gathering family pictures with frames I already had, and keep purchasing more to add to the collection.

After you come down the steps the t.v. and our family movie themed wall is my center piece. I picked these items up at Hobby Lobby. I created the painting to compliment the home d├ęcor.

To the left is my studio space, and to the right is the kids game area/ work bench area.

I can't tell how much I enjoy my own little space. It is my little get away without really getting away. There are still many plans to paint some more accessories red and black.

My plans are to have some friends over for some creative fun one evening very soon. What do you think so far?

The thing I like best about it is that it is so neat and open. I think having friends over for a "craft night" is an excellent idea. Perhaps you could coach them all on making a painting to take home (like those paint party shops).

Wow, you have so much space! That's so awesome. I use our third bedroom as my office and while it's plenty big for what I need, I feel kind of closed up in here sometimes. Haha.

Stopping by from Etsy!

Looks really lovely! Cozy without being confined, with defined areas for each purpose. I like that you have your own space, but the family can also be there with you in their own spaces.

Hi M. :)

Your space is looking amazing :)

I completely understand waiting until you could think of a theme/colours :) I am in the process of moving my artspace to another area in our home and I am procrastinating because I can't handle ripping up the carpet :(

Sometimes we just have to wait til we are ready :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

Have a lovely day, cheers, T. :)
